In 1988, the Friends of the University Libraries established the Nevada Writers Hall of Fame as an event to honor Nevada’s finest writers and to encourage excellence among emerging and mid-career authors in the Silver State. This year’s Nevada Writer’s Hall of Fame reception and induction ceremony is set for Thursday evening, November 4 in the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center.
Author Darrell Spencer will be honored with the Writers Hall of Fame medal, and Terri Farley and John L. Smith will be recognized as the 2010 Silver Pen recipients.
